Do I need to own a business?
No. We’d like to hear from local business owners, instructors, facilitators, club leaders, and organizers. Tell us the kind of experience you want to create.
Is Platea Professional a paid subscription?
We haven’t finalized Professional plans or pricing. This page introduces the idea and invites early conversations. Contacting us does not start a subscription or commit you to a fee.
Can I sell tickets through Platea?
Not yet. Ticketing and organizer payouts are future possibilities. The beta supports free plans and optional partner offers, with any purchases handled through the business’s own checkout.
Where are you starting?
Our initial focus is Santa Barbara and the surrounding community, including Goleta and UCSB. If you’re elsewhere, you’re still welcome to tell us about your idea.
Does a business appear automatically?
No. Business profiles are reviewed by the Platea team before they appear publicly. A plan at a venue is not a venue reservation or an endorsement by that business.
